Energy star mini refrigerators are one of the easiest ways you can do your bit for the environment whilst also saving on running costs compared to other standard compact fridges. Energy star compact fridges are enhanced to use less than half the electricity a model manufactured prior to 1993 might have used. Improvements in technology have made this possible, better levels of insulation, improved compressors, and advanced thermostatic and defrost controls have helped cut running costs and emmisions whilst improvements have also made these mini refrigerators quieter to run than older models or models without an energy star rating. Sizes start from 1.8 cu ft and you can choose compact energy star refrigerators up to 4.4 cu ft.
